The Irish side of the family « Thread Started on Dec 19, 2007, 2:15am »
Edmund McKenna married Mary Craig McKenzie.
Still need to get dates and exact locations on them. I know Edmund is known as the Black Sheep of his family. He came from a well to do family in County Cork Ireland. He took off where exactly unknown or for how long, but it is known that he was dapper dresser and a ladies man.
He married Mary and took her once to meet his family in Ireland and as far as I know never returned. Thus cutting off his children from any inhertance there might have been ~ which didn't sit too well with his children especially since they did have hard times.
Saltcoats is where the family lived at one point.
Very pathetic I am with the history, part of the reason I am reluctant to start! but I do want to learn how and see what I can find.
It's amazing how the stories pass along the family then FACTS lol!
